Becoming the Difference

Hello, I hope you all are doing well. This blog is about a meaningful initiative I recently took part in. On Mahatma Gandhi's 151st birth anniversary, I had the opportunity to contribute to the principle he championed throughout his life: Swachhata (Cleanliness). Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Sanitation is more important than Independence.” Cleanliness is essential for a healthy environment and the well-being of all living creatures. Therefore, understanding cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation is crucial. Gandhiji emphasized that cleanliness promotes good health and stressed the importance of changing ourselves before expecting the world to change. In 2014, our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under which we pledged, "I shall not litter and won't allow anyone to do so."  However, many of us still need to remember that commitment. How Did I Learn About This Initiative? Gandhiji once said, "So long as you do not t...

A Walk, a Smile, and a New Perspective !

Image
Greetings!      One ordinary day, I visited the Fort area in Mumbai for personal errands. While walking toward Bombay Hospital, I noticed a group of children living on the streets near Azad Maidan Road. They were homeless, yet their faces glowed with a wonderful smile. That smile stopped me in my tracks. It made me feel two things at once—joy and shame. Their pure, unfiltered joy was contagious, but it also made me reflect on my own life choices. What was I doing with my life? I realized I had been postponing my happiness, blaming myself, and lamenting the state of the world without truly living or appreciating life. Life is How You See It Sometimes, a small moment is all it takes to transform your outlook. For me, it was seeing those children. Their joy, despite having so little, reminded me of a fundamental truth: happiness is not about material possessions but about gratitude, resilience, and inner peace. We often waste our lives worrying about pas...

Lohagad Fort: A Trek Through History, Caves, and Scenic Marvels

Image
Hello everyone!       This was my first visit to Lohagad and my first experience of trekking. As someone said, "Unplanned trips are the best ones", and that's exactly what happened to us. The night before, my brother and I casually decided to go on this trek. The plan still needed to be finalized, but everything worked out, and I successfully completed my first trek! I felt excitement and nervousness initially but was thrilled to reach the top! One of the best things about this trek is that two forts, Lohagad and Visapur, are located right next to each other, making it a double treat for visitors. However, climbing both forts on the same requires a lot of willpower and stamina. If you're adventurous or an experienced trekker, it's definitely doable!  Lohagad, also known as the Iron Fort, is one of the prominent hill forts in Maharashtra, India. The fort derives its name from its incredible strength and resilience. It stands unyielding agains...
